The Best Pineapple Upside Down Cake Martini And Shot Recipe

Pineapple Upside Down Cake Martini And Shot Recipe
Over the years I have had several opportunities to make martini's, shots and cocktails but the pineapple upside down cake martini and shot really takes the upside down cake. This drink is probably one of the most popular that I make at my home bar and it got even better with the creation of Pinnacle Vodka's Whipped Cream flavored vodka. Prior to the whip cream vodka creation I used all vanilla vodka, which was extremely good but now it has that extra kick that makes this drink taste like your eating a piece of pineapple upside down cake. Since the martini is already a strong drink, the shot will basically the same recipe with maybe a splash more vodka depending on your taste and how upside down you want to feel. Also the martini recipe we will put the grenadine in after the martini is poured verses the shot where we will mix it up in the shaker. So if your ready lets go nuts and get this party started.

The Ingredients
To make the best pineapple upside down cake martini and shooter we will use the following ingredients:
- Pineapple Juice ( I prefer Dole )
- Pinnacle Vanilla Vodka
- Pinnacle Whip Cream Vodka
- Grenadine
- Maraschino cherries
The Measurements
Ok once you have the main ingredients figured out, pineapple juice, Pinnacle Vanilla Vodka and Pinnacle Whip Cream Vodka the ratio is really up to you depending on your taste and how strong you want the drink. I am going with a shaker that holds about 2 cups of liquid and some Ice, so fill your shaker with about a cup of ice then add approximately...
- 1/2 cup whip cream vodka
- 1/2 cup vanilla vodka
- 1 cup of pineapple juice
Note 1: if you are making pineapple upside down cake shots or shooters add a splash or 2 of grenadine to the shaker, shake it up and strain into shot glasses with or without a cherry.
Note 2: If you are making the martini version shake up the pineapple juice and vodka mixture, strain into a martini glass with a cherry in the bottom, then slowly pour a splash of grenadine down the side of the martini glass. The grenadine being heavier will sink to the bottom giving you a beautiful 2 tone looking drink resembling a piece of pineapple upside down cake.
Conclusion
This creative cocktail is by far one of the simplest and most popular drinks I make, I hope you enjoy the best pineapple upside down cake martinis and shots at your next party and please leave me a comment and let me know what you thought and how you changed it up.
